ABOUT THE ROLE: 

This role is responsible for managing complex fiduciary relationships, including high-net-worth and specialty trust accounts, in accordance with governing documents, applicable laws, and organizational policies. The Senior Trust Officer serves as a primary relationship manager and fiduciary advisor, partnering with clients, financial advisors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality service, support business growth, and ensure a consistent client experience.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The responsibilities for this role are below; you may support projects of varying complexity based on skill and organizational priorities. 

  • Fiduciary Account Administration: Manages complex trust accounts, including high-net-worth and specialty relationships, ensuring alignment with governing documents, fiduciary standards, and regulatory requirements. 

  • Client Relationship Management: Serves as the primary contact for clients, beneficiaries, and advisors, building strong relationships and delivering a high level of service. 

  • Risk and Compliance Management: Ensures adherence to fiduciary, legal, and regulatory requirements, including completion of reviews, documentation of decisions, and timely resolution of exceptions. 

  • Decision Making: Exercises sound judgment in complex fiduciary matters, including discretionary decisions and risk assessment, ensuring alignment with governing documents, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. 

  • Collaboration and Partnership: Works closely with internal partners and external advisors to implement investment strategies, resolve client issues, and deliver comprehensive fiduciary solutions. 

  • Business Development Support: Partners with financial advisors and centers of influence to support new business opportunities and deepen existing client relationships. 

  • Client Experience and Retention: Drives a consistent and high-quality client experience, proactively addressing client needs and contributing to retention and satisfaction. 

  • Technical Expertise: Maintains strong knowledge of fiduciary principles, trust administration, and applicable legal and tax considerations. 

  • Other Duties: Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to new tasks or shifts in priorities as necessary to support your team’s and the company’s mission. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. 

  • 8-10+ years of experience in trust administration, fiduciary services, or related experience. 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

Qualified candidates will possess an advanced degree of proficiency (typically from 8-10+  years of work or practical experience), in:   

  • Fiduciary Expertise: Strong knowledge of trust administration, governing documents, and fiduciary principles. 

  • Client Relationship Management: Ability to manage complex client relationships and deliver high-quality service. 

  • Risk and Compliance Management: Understanding of regulatory requirements, fiduciary standards, and internal policies. 

  • Communication: Ability to clearly communicate complex fiduciary concepts to clients and partners. 

  • Collaboration: Effectively partners across internal teams and with external advisors.

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
