About this role

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, professional, and versatile individual to join the Service Department based at our Trafford Park site. Working Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm, plus working 6 hours on alternate Saturdays (start & finish time to be confirmed at interview).

Reporting to the Business Manager, you will be responsible for organising the activities of the Service Reception Department to ensure that efficiency and profitability targets are met, ensuring that all work is processed in a productive and efficient manner in line with company quality requirements.

The role will also be responsible for:

  • Dealing directly with customers ensuring that they receive excellent service and ensuring that service work is scheduled to customers vehicles in an efficient manner and advising customers of any additional work required as necessary.

  • To ensure all work is processed in a productive and effective manner in line with Company Policies.

  • To ensure that accurate customer and workshop records are maintained and kept up to date at all times.

  • To obtain detailed background information to assist specialised personnel in diagnosis, inspection and testing of vehicles.

  • To assist on occasion and as required with the delivery and collection of vehicles.

  • Promote and effect the sale of workshop repair and service facilities and appreciate facilities offered by other Departments.

To ensure that the service reception area is always staffed as required.

The general supervision of the department, ensuring that staff are encouraged to develop and excel.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Experience of working within the Commercial Vehicle Industry within a similar role.

  • Previous supervisory experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and on own initiative.

  • IT literate with Microsoft Office Applications including Outlook, Word PowerPoint and Excel

  • Have a full and current UK driving licence.
