Our Client, a leading company in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a skilled and responsible Shift Engineer – Electrical Maintenance to ensure smooth operation, maintenance, and reliability of electrical systems during assigned shifts. The role involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting electrical equipment, coordinating with production teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The candidate will play a key role in minimizing downtime, improving energy efficiency, and supporting continuous manufacturing operations. Responsibilities: Ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of all electrical systems during the assigned shift. Carry out preventive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and systems. Operate, monitor, and maintain HT/LT panels, MCC panels, PLC panels, VFDs, motors, drives, sensors, and control systems. Attend to and resolve electrical breakdowns promptly to minimize production downtime. Coordinate closely with production and mechanical teams to provide effective line support. Monitor power consumption, load distribution, and support initiatives for improved energy efficiency. Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures, and electrical SOPs. Maintain accurate shift logs, breakdown reports, and maintenance records. Support installation, commissioning, and modification of electrical systems and machinery. Guide and supervise technicians and helpers during shift activities. Perform routine and emergency machine electrical maintenance as required. Requirements Diploma / BE / BTech in Electrical or Electronic Engineering. Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial plant environment. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and machine maintenance. Hands-on experience with PLC basics, sensors, drives, and control systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis. Awareness of ISO, GMP, and industrial safety standards (preferred). Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to work independently during shifts.
