Your role at Clorox:

The Forklift / Shipping Operator is responsible for safely operating material-handling equipment to transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies throughout the facility. This role supports production, packaging, warehousing, and shipping operations while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

In this role, you will:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•    Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in accordance with company policies and safety procedures
•    Transport raw materials, supplies, and finished goods to and from production areas, packaging lines, warehouse storage, and shipping locations
•    Remove finished goods from palletizers and place them in designated warehouse storage locations
•    Load and unload raw materials, finished goods, equipment, and supplies from semi-trailers and railcars
•    Perform quality checks and accurately complete all required documentation and paperwork
•    Deliver raw materials during product preparation and support packaging operations as needed
•    Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks and report equipment issues promptly
•    Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and assigned work areas (housekeeping)
•    Prepare reports and assist with performance tracking as required
•    Successfully complete all required training and certifications
 

Starting Pay Rate: $23.94 an hour.

12-Hour Shift (4:30 AM – 5:00 PM), Thursday through Saturday

What we look for:

Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience
•    Minimum of six (6) months of forklift and/or shipping experience required
•    One (1) year of manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
•    Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
•    Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
•    Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
•    Basic computer and documentation skills
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements
•    Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
•    Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling activities
•    Physical activities may include reaching, bending, stooping, and twisting
•    Ability to lift objects from floor or waist height to chest height
•    Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and operating equipment
•    Ability to safely use material-handling equipment such as pushcarts, dollies, forklifts, pallet jacks, track mobiles, hydraulic or air-driven hoists, scissor lifts, and high-reach equipment


Education Requirements 
•    High School or GED 
•    18 years or older
