About this role

We are seeking a Site Inspector (Electrical) who will provide electrical engineering support for Design & Build interior fit-out projects by reviewing designs, supervising electrical and ELV installations, coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces and ensuring that all systems are installed, tested and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, statutory regulations and client requirements. Key Responsibilities: Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, load calculations, lighting calculations, shop drawings, material submittals and method statements. Inspect and supervise the installation of: Power distribution systems Lighting and emergency lighting Small power systems Distribution boards Cable containment and wiring systems Earthing and bonding Lightning protection Associated electrical equipment Inspect and monitor ELV systems, including: Structured cabling Data and voice networks CCTV Access control Public address and intercom systems IPTV Audio-visual systems BMS interfaces Other low-current systems Coordinate electrical works with architectural, mechanical, fire protection and ICT disciplines. Review equipment selections against approved schedules, energy-efficiency requirements and manufacturer recommendations. Monitor construction progress and review inspection requests. Identify technical issues and issue observations or NCRs. Verify implementation of corrective actions. Witness insulation-resistance tests, continuity tests, functional tests, emergency-lighting tests, ELV integration tests and power-on testing. Review commissioning procedures, test reports, O&M manuals and as-built documents. Participate in factory inspections, material inspections, mock-ups, SATs, integrated system testing and handover. Assist with contractor payment applications, variation proposals and electrical claims. Maintain RFIs, technical submittals, inspection records, commissioning reports and as-built documentation. Ensure compliance with QCS, Kahramaa regulations, Qatar Civil Defense requirements, IEC, NFPA and other applicable standards. Requirements Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional registration is preferred. Testing and Commissioning or Low-Voltage Systems certification is an advantage. Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering, construction supervision or project-management experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in high-end commercial office fit-out projects. Proven Design & Build project experience. Strong experience in power distribution, lighting, emergency power, ELV and ICT coordination. Experience in testing and commissioning electrical and low-current systems. Qatar experience and familiarity with QCS, Kahramaa, Qatar Civil Defense and local approval procedures. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Revit or BIM experience is preferred.
