The Georgia Department of Community Supervision (DCS) is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated professional to join our Recidivism Reduction Unit as a Social Services Program Consultant 3 – Clinical Supervisor.
This position provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by strengthening the quality and effectiveness of Alcohol and Drug Abuse (AOD) clinical services provided throughout the agency. The Clinical Supervisor plays a critical role in developing counseling professionals, promoting adherence to clinical standards, and ensuring services align with DCS’s mission, vision, core values, and strategic priorities.
Through clinical oversight, quality assurance, training, policy implementation, and collaboration with staff across the state, this position helps strengthen professional practice and supports DCS’s broader goal of reducing recidivism and promoting successful outcomes for the individuals and communities we serve.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Social Services Program Consultant Clinical Supervisor (Recidivism Reduction) ensures the agency’s mission, vision, core values, and strategic plan are incorporated into day-to-day operations of the Recidivism Reduction Unit. This position, under broad supervision, conducts research involving data collection and analysis, develops and implements policy, and administers social services programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ DUTIES:
Provide oversight, supervision, and quality assurance of all Alcohol and Drug Abuse (AOD) clinical services, including recordkeeping and direct service work experience hours according to the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia (ADACBGA).
Conduct individual and group clinical supervision sessions for counselors working towards their addiction certification.
Provide direct supervision to non-credentialed counseling staff by direct observation on-site and/or via videoconference.
Maintain monthly recordkeeping and calculation of clinical supervision hours.
Develop and deliver instructional formal presentations and informal training.
Ensure documentation of clinical supervision progress is completed within required timeframes.
Serve as a mentor and coach to help counselors develop new skills.
Monitor compliance and implement recommendations to existing policies.
Work collaboratively with onsite staff and coordinate work activities with teammates.
Statewide travel and non-traditional hours are required for this position.
Work effectively and efficiently.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional job-related experience which includes one (1) year in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Social Svcs Prgm Consultant 2 (SSP041) or position equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
All applicants meeting the minimum qualifications will be eligible for consideration. Applicants meeting two (2) or more preferred qualifications will be extended an interview.
Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) from Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) OR Alcohol & Drug Abuse Board of Georgia (ADACBGA) OR Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) and LPC OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) through the Licensing Professional Counseling Association of Georgia and holds a Alcohol & Drug Addiction Certification (CADC-II) certificate for at least 5 years from ADACBGA.
Experience with training and program development and implementation
POST Instructor Certified.
Must possess CADC-II for a minimum of 5 years.
