About this role

Liquid Personnel are proud to be supporting Southend-on-Sea City Council in recruiting a Social Worker to join their Children Looked After Team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a GOOD-rated Children's Service where relationships are at the heart of practice and children remain central to all decision-making. You'll be working with children and young people after care proceedings have concluded, helping to secure stability, permanence and positive outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of Children Looked After, supporting them to achieve permanence and positive outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with children, carers and families using a restorative approach.
  • Complete assessments, care planning and statutory visits.
  • Prepare reports, care plans and court documentation where required.

For This Role You Will Need

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Successful completion of ASYE.
  • Previous experience within Children's Frontline Services.
