Job Summary

We are looking for passionate Backend Software Developers (2–5 years of experience) who enjoy solving complex engineering problems and building highly scalable financial systems.
You will be responsible for designing and developing cloud-native microservices that power mission-critical banking and payments platforms. The ideal candidate is proficient in Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Kafka, REST APIs, and Test-Driven Development (TDD), and is comfortable working in an AI-assisted software development environment using modern developer productivity tools.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-scale distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and fintech integrations while collaborating closely with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3+.
  • Build RESTful APIs and integrate with internal platforms, banking partners, payment gateways, and third-party services.
  • Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka / RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication.
  • Design efficient data models and implement persistence using PostgreSQL, JPA, and Hibernate.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
  • Create comprehensive unit and integration tests, unit Tests using JUnit, Mockito, and AssertJ, Test containers.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software.
  • Leverage AI-powered developer tools (Windsurf(Devin AI), Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) to improve engineering productivity while ensuring code quality and security.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in root cause analysis.


Essential Skills

Programming & Frameworks

  • Strong proficiency in Java 17 (Java 21 and 25 knowledge is a plus), Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Security, Spring cloud, Spring Data JPA / Hibernate, REST API development, Maven or Gradle
  • Apache Kafka, JMS, Message Queues, Event-driven architecture
  • PostgreSQL, SQL, MongoDB (good to have), Database design and query optimization
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD), JUnit 5, Mockito, AssertJ, Integration Testing
  • Git, Code Reviews, Clean Code principles, SOLID principles, Design Patterns
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
  • Ability to leverage AI for code generation, debugging, documentation, testing, and developer productivity while maintaining engineering quality standards.


Good to Have

  • Spring Cloud ecosystem, Docker, Redis, AWS, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI), Observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry, gRPC, GraphQL
  • CLoud knowledge preferred AWS (S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, ECS, EC2, ECR)
  • Experience in one or more of the following domains is preferred:Banking, Credit Cards, Lending, UPI, Payments, Digital Banking, NBFC Platforms, Financial Services.

  • BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years of backend software development experience.
