Job Description
You will be part of the Service Operations – Portfolio Management, Wealth Management & RM Suite (PFM) Team, which is responsible for ensuring stable platform operations and the continuous improvement of our Avaloq software and products for our clients.
As a Software Engineer, you will develop, maintain, and support business-critical applications and services within the Portfolio Management, Wealth Management, and RM Suite domains. You will be responsible for enhancing existing functionalities, investigating and resolving production issues, and ensuring the reliability, performance, and maintainability of the solutions delivered to our clients.
Avaloq RM Suite is a browser-based interface that is tailor made for the bank front office users. It is an Avaloq containerized application that runs on the Avaloq container platform (ACPR).
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Service Managers, Product teams, and Project Delivery teams. You will take over, maintain, and enhance solutions delivered to production, investigate and resolve technical issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of applications and services used by our clients.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure the stable and efficient operation of Portfolio Management, Wealth Management, and RM Suite solutions
- Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, defects, and complex technical issues delivering software changes
- Manage incidents and service requests end-to-end, including impact analysis, coordination, implementation of fixes, and resolution
- Maintain and enhance existing applications and services to meet evolving client and business requirements
- Take care of configuration and deployment of the RM Suite application in ACPR
- Support the onboarding of new banking services and solutions into service delivery and operational support
- Support testing activities, including functional validation, defect fixing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Contribute to the implementation of product enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives
- Maintain clear technical documentation and actively promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a similar role in the banking or financial services industry
- Strong programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and experience in RDBMS, Oracle SQL, and Oracle PL/SQL
- Experience in software design, development, testing, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with software development best practices, version control systems, and CI/CD concepts
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated, proactive, and organized working approach with a demonstrated passion for continuous learning
- Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Full professional fluency in English (written and verbal)
It would be a real bonus if you have
- Experience in application support, incident management, or service operations environments
- Familiarity with portfolio management, investment advisory, wealth management, and relationship management processes and solutions and knowledge of financial products
- Knowledge of Avaloq Portfolio Management, Wealth Management modules and RM Suite
- Experience with modern software engineering practices, automation, and monitoring tools
- Experience in Configuration and deployment of the OpenShift and ACPR applications
- Experience of Airlock IAM authentication system, Ergon Product Suite, WAF (Web Application Firewall)
- Knowledge of Avaloq Core with certification
- Experience in customization of AMI Web Service and Avaloq Responsive form
