What You’ll Do At Elekta:

Join our R&D team in Crawley and help develop the software that powers Elekta's next generation radiotherapy systems. Working on both CT-LINAC and MR-LINAC platforms, you'll design, develop and test software that supports the safe and precise delivery of cancer treatment.

You'll be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through to implementation, testing and continuous improvement. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you'll help solve complex technical challenges and contribute to technology that makes a real difference to patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain real-time control software used within Elekta's radiotherapy systems.

  • Design and implement robust, high-quality solutions that meet performance, safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Work closely with software engineers, systems engineers and architects to deliver new features and enhancements.

  • Contribute to software quality through testing, code reviews and continuous improvement activities.

  • Support technical planning, estimation and delivery of development work.

  • Produce and maintain technical documentation in line with development processes and industry standards.

  • Share knowledge, contribute to problem solving and help drive a collaborative engineering culture.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience developing software for real-time or embedded systems using C/C++.

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Experience working within an R&D or product development environment.

  • A collaborative approach and passion for developing high-quality software.

  • Experience in medical devices, control systems, Agile development or regulated environments is advantageous
