Job Summary
As a Spacecraft Propulsion Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and configuration of the satellite propulsion subsystem. Your support for the propulsion system will include the design, build, and procurement of the core propulsion systems required on most spacecraft, including individual components, and assemblies for flight, ground support, and test equipment. Your designs will ensure that our space vehicles survive their complete development and operational lifecycles, including prototyping, test, transport, launch, and operations.

Responsibilities
Perform propulsion design and configuration tasks necessary to deliver high performance satellite systems
Perform first order layout and mass properties analyses of propulsion systems
Identify materials, processes, and facilities necessary to deliver a qualified propulsion system
Perform procurement of propulsion components, author specifications and manage subcontractors and suppliers according to cost and schedule targets
Support propulsion qualification testing on propulsion systems and components including test design, test conduct, and interface equipment for unit under test
Produce part and assembly drawings to facilitate Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations
Prepare and deliver written and oral technical presentations to company executives and customers
Identify and track subsystem schedule and deliverables
Develop and document required design processes
Other duties as assigned
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Ability to design, develop, implement, and test propulsion systems for spacecraft
1-5 years of experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD package
1-2 years of hands-on fabrication experience (personal hobby projects, classwork, or extracurricular design clubs included)
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
Demonstrate clear communication and organizational skills
1-3 or more years of experience with propulsion design
Ability to design, develop, implement, and test propulsion systems
Demonstrate clear communication and organizational skills

Summary Pay Range:
Level 1: $79,050 - $116,250
Level 2: $98,600 - $145,000
