Job Description

This role is responsible for executing and maintaining document and records control processes as part of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures that quality-related documents—procedures, templates, forms, guides, and data—are accurately managed in compliance with relevant standards. The position also supports the Quality team through data analysis, metric reporting, and coordination of various quality initiatives and reviews.


 

Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Manage document lifecycle activities: storage, retrieval, approval, version control, publication/release, and archival of QMS documentation.
  • Maintain and update the Quality Document Index; assign document numbers in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Conduct quality control checks to verify data completeness, accurate naming and numbering, and correct application of signatures before publication.
  • Develop and maintain the Periodic Adequacy Review and Affected Document processes.
  • Maintain and drive the Quality team’s Primavera P6 (P6) schedule.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on operational metrics and trends to support Quality department objectives.
  • Support management review activities, including data requests, meeting coordination, and documentation of discussion points.
  • Administer the Customer Feedback Program: manage survey responses, trend analysis, metric reporting, and coordination of review activities.
  • Maintain and update the Quality Department SharePoint/Web Page content.
  • Serve as procurement requestor for Quality Assurance Department needs.
  • Coordinate required external training (e.g., ISO 9001, NQA-1 Lead Auditor training) for department personnel.
  • Own and maintain assigned QMS procedures and work instructions, ensuring they reflect current practices and compliance requirements.
  • Promote and actively support a strong safety and quality culture within the organization.
  • Provide documentation and data in support of audits and projects, ensuring compliance with distribution procedures and policies.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Lead the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities, listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document, without close supervision and some latitude for independent judgment.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to more junior team members with the execution of the core tasks and responsibilities listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities section of this document.
  • Shares knowledge related to industry best practices and standards with others across the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA Degree.
  • Typically, ten years of experience in a relevant role required.
  • Experience with Electronic Document/Records Management Systems (EDMS) in a regulated or technical environment (engineering, scientific, business, legal, or government).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio) and Adobe PDF tools.
  • Familiarity with electronic signature platforms (e.g. DocuSign).

Location: 9801 Washingtonian Boulevard, Gaithersburg, Maryland

Work Site Expectations: 4 days in office
Hours: Standard office hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm ET, Monday - Friday

Compensation

As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.

 

Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual’s qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:

$130,000- $150,000
