Join our Timaru Contracting team as an Operator and help deliver good work that keeps our communities moving. This is a hands-on role where you’ll operate a range of plant and equipment across civil and roading works, while supporting safe, high-quality delivery for our customers.
You’ll be part of a team that backs each other, values ideas over ego, and takes the work seriously. If you’re practical, reliable, and keen to grow your skills, you’ll fit right in.
Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities
- Operate plant and machinery safely and efficiently across civil and roading works.
- Complete tasks assigned by the Supervisor and support day-to-day site delivery.
- Carry out general labouring duties as required.
- Complete routine machinery checks and monitor plant condition.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and well-organised plant maintenance records.

- A Full Class 2 licence, with Class 4 preferred and WTR endorsements.
- Experience in civil, roading, or plant operation.
- A flexible, team-focused approach and willingness to take on a range of daily tasks.
- A proactive attitude to health and safety.
- A genuine willingness to learn and upskill.
