SQL Server & MySQL Developer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SQL Server & MySQL Developer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain database solutions that support business applications and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL Server and MySQL databases, performance tuning, database administration fundamentals, ETL development, and data integration. The role requires close collaboration with development, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver scalable and high-performing database solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server and MySQL databases.
  • Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
  • Optimize query performance and troubleshoot slow-running SQL statements.
  • Design and implement database schemas based on application requirements.
  • Create and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or equivalent tools.
  • Develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, or other BI tools.
  • Monitor database health, storage, and performance.
  • Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Support production databases and resolve incidents within SLA timelines.
  • Implement indexing strategies and partitioning for large databases.
  • Perform database migrations between environments.
  • Ensure database security, user access management, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with application developers to improve database design and application performance.
  • Maintain database documentation, deployment scripts, and technical specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews and database release management.
  • Provide production support and root cause analysis for database-related issues.
Required Skills
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
  • Strong experience with MySQL (5.7/8.x or Aurora MySQL).
  • Advanced SQL programming.
  • Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers.
  • Query optimization and execution plan analysis.
  • Indexing strategies and performance tuning.
  • Database normalization and schema design.
  • Backup and recovery strategies.
  • Database security and permission management.
  • SQL Server Agent Jobs.
  • SSIS development.
  • SSRS or Power BI reporting.
  • Data migration and ETL development.
  • Experience working with large transactional databases.
Preferred Skills
  • Azure SQL Database, VM or AWS RDS/Aurora.
  • PowerShell scripting.
  • MongoDB or PostgreSQL exposure.
  • Experience with Moodle or LMS databases.
  • Knowledge of Dynamics 365, HubSpot, or Marketo integrations.
  • CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8–15+ years of experience in SQL Server and MySQL database development.
  • Microsoft or MySQL certifications are an advantage.
