The team translates market intelligence, customer insights, competitive dynamics, regulatory requirements, emerging technologies, supplier roadmaps, and funding considerations into actionable product strategies and investment decisions that shape the future of Daimler Truck offerings.As the organization’s voice of the customer, the team develops deep expertise within assigned market segments to identify customer needs and create growth strategies. By combining customer feedback with data-driven analysis, the team identifies opportunities to increase market share, drive unit sales, and ensure DTNA’s products deliver compelling value in every segment served.

We Take Care of Our Team
In this role, you will partner with customers, dealers, internal sales, product marketing, pricing, and marketing communications teams to shape and execute strategies that drive growth in DTNA’s Medium Duty and Vocational segments. You will become a market expert by conducting customer and industry research, identifying emerging trends, and translating insights into strategic recommendations that influence future product development and business investments. You will play a key role in preparing market assessments and strategic recommendations for Medium Duty & Vocational in the annual Q3 Roadmap Workshop and supporting Vocational Customer Council engagements to ensure the voice of the customer is reflected in DTNA’s long-term product strategy.
What You Drive at DTNA
Lead product strategy, roadmap development, and execution for the MD & Vocational product portfolio, including M2, SD, 47X, 48X, and 49X platforms and segments.
Translate customer, market, and technical inputs into actionable product strategies and initiatives, supporting execution from concept through launch and lifecycle optimization.
Develop and submit Development Requests (DRs), including detailed Use Case Definitions that define functional requirements and operator interactions for hardware and software features.
Ensure long-term competitiveness and strategic alignment of DTNA’s products by delivering data-driven recommendations that inform product, feature, and technology investment decisions.
Capture and communicate the voice of the customer across the organization while serving as the subject matter expert for the Medium Duty and Vocational product portfolio and market segments.
Develop and drive strategies, product definitions, roadmaps, and key decisions that support long-term growth and market leadership.
Apply deep segment expertise to guide software and hardware requirements, assumptions, and key product and architecture decisions.
Drive alignment across diverse stakeholders with competing priorities by leading cross-functional teams and enabling timely, data-driven decision-making.
Influence without authority across a complex, matrixed organization, ensuring alignment across Engineering, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, and global Daimler Truck partners.
Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team environment through complexity reduction, Kaizen events, strategic initiatives, and related efforts.
Knowledge You Should Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2 or more years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of Daimler Truck North America systems and business processes.
Knowledge of the MD & Vocational truck market and product portfolio
Experience in project management or leading teams.
Experience compiling, conducting, analyzing, and maintaining complex market information and intelligence.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Copilot.
Experience working with various DTNA databases & tools (EMMA, Order Explorer, Polk, IBT, SpecPro, CoPilot 365) preferred
Strong communication and networking skills.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple detailed tasks and work professionally with various levels of management.
Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
Ability to deliver compelling presentations in executive forums.
Ability to quickly learn and deep dive into technical topics, becoming a subject matter expert in both software and hardware.
Ability to travel up to 25%
