Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer Analyst - Integration Platforms Operations with 8+ years of overall IT experience and strong hands-on expertise in enterprise integration and middleware platform operations. The candidate will support and operate business-critical platforms including SAP Integration Suite (CPI), SAP PI/PO, Advanced Event Mesh (AEM/Solace), WSO2 API Manager, and Azure API Management. The role is primarily focused on platform reliability, operational excellence, incident and problem management, platform administration, governance, observability, automation, and continuous improvement.
The position requires a self-driven engineer who can independently troubleshoot production issues, coordinate across application and infrastructure teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to modernization initiatives such as SAP PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite migration and platform automation.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Platform Operations & Support
- Provide end-to-end operational support for SAP Integration Suite, SAP PI/PO, Advanced Event Mesh, WSO2 API Manager, and Azure API Management platforms.
- Monitor platform health, message processing, API traffic, error rates, latency, throughput, connectivity, and transaction flows to ensure SLA compliance.
- Perform incident triage, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem management, and preventive action tracking for production issues.
- Participate in major incident management, change management, release readiness, planned maintenance, and post-deployment validation activities.
- Support platform availability, resiliency, capacity management, performance optimization, disaster recovery readiness, and operational risk reduction.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for critical production issues and planned maintenance windows.
2. SAP Integration Suite & SAP PI/PO Support
- Support SAP Integration Suite, SAP CPI runtime, Cloud Connector, and related connectivity components.
- Support and troubleshoot SAP PI/PO interfaces including IDOC, RFC, BAPI, SOAP, REST, Proxy, File, SFTP, HTTP, and OData based integrations.
- Analyze integration failures, message processing errors, channel issues, adapter issues, certificates, authentication, connectivity, and performance bottlenecks.
- Work closely with SAP application, Basis, infrastructure, cloud, and security teams during incident resolution, implementation support, and platform maintenance.
- Contribute to migration and modernization initiatives from SAP PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite and cloud-based integration services.
3. API Management & Event-Driven Platform Support
- Support WSO2 API Manager and Azure API Management platforms from an operations, administration, and governance perspective.
- Manage API gateway configurations, policies, throttling, certificates, access control, routing, identity integrations, and lifecycle support activities.
- Support Advanced Event Mesh administration including queues, topics, subscriptions, broker connectivity, messaging flows, and operational stability.
- Assist application teams with API onboarding, troubleshooting, operational readiness, and production support for API and event-driven integrations.
4. Platform Administration, Governance & Security
- Manage environment configuration, user access, role management, certificates, keys, connectivity, tenant settings, and platform-level security controls.
- Support upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, lifecycle management, compliance needs, and audit requirements for integration platforms.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, operational playbooks, knowledge articles, escalation models, and support documentation.
- Ensure integrations and platform changes meet operational readiness, resiliency, security, monitoring, and supportability requirements before go-live.
5. Observability, Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Configure and support monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards across SAP monitoring tools, Splunk, Datadog, Elastic, Grafana, Azure Monitor, and related platforms.
- Use log analysis and operational data to identify recurring issues, service degradation, capacity trends, risk areas, and improvement opportunities.
- Drive automation to reduce manual effort in monitoring, validation, reporting, remediation, and repetitive support activities.
- Apply AI-assisted operations concepts where applicable for log analysis, anomaly detection, alert correlation, predictive insights, and incident reduction.
6. Collaboration, Mentoring & Communication
- Collaborate with application teams, architecture, Basis, CloudOps, ServerOps, security, vendors, and other stakeholders to support platform operations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the operations team.
- Communicate issues, risks, status, RCA findings, and improvement actions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, service mindset, and ability to work effectively in complex and high-pressure production environments.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of overall IT experience, preferably in enterprise integration, middleware, API management, or platform operations.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting production integration or middleware platforms in a high-availability enterprise environment.
- Strong operational experience with SAP Integration Suite, SAP CPI, SAP PI/PO, or related SAP integration technologies.
- Experience with incident, problem, change, release, platform maintenance, performance tuning, and operational governance processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Integration Suite, SAP PI/PO, or SAP Cloud Platform Integration certification.
- Solace / Advanced Event Mesh, Azure, WSO2, or API Management related certifications.
- Experience supporting migration from SAP PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite.
- Experience with disaster recovery exercises, platform resiliency testing, and high-availability operations.
- Working exposure to DevOps, SRE, ITIL, Agile, JIRA, Confluence, infrastructure-as-code, and automation frameworks.
