Job Description

The Senior Director of Finance Transformation has a critical role for NBCUniversal’s SAP S4 HANA implementation, Project Keystone.  You will work with colleagues across the Global Finance and Technology organizations, playing an active role in our finance transformation from design to deployment supporting the NBCU Studio Group. In this role, you will align with your dedicated business unit leader(s) and team members on functional and data requirements, ensuring business critical inputs are incorporated in the system design and thoroughly validated through testing.  

Additionally, NBCUniversal understands the need to fit to standard wherever possible, and this will cause a level of organizational change management for any aspect of our business. The ideal candidate will understand the business unit’s finance processes and business rules, be able to clearly articulate those, and act as a change agent in the business area.   

Following the successful deployment and stabilization of Project Keystone, this role will continue to serve as a key leader within the Studio Finance Transformation organization, driving the next phase of finance modernization.  

Responsibilities will include identifying and leading strategic initiatives across systems, processes, and technology, including future platform upgrades, process optimization efforts, automation opportunities, data and reporting enhancements, and the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies that improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and business outcomes. The individual will partner closely with Finance, Technology, and business leaders to help with execution of a multi-year transformation roadmap that supports the evolving needs of the Studios Group organization. 

Here you can: 

S4 HANA Implementation 

  • Provide strategic thinking and input based on subject matter expertise (SME) for next generation ERP Finance Solutions for master data, implementation, and process design for Studio Group.    
  • Interface with Studios Group finance, S/4 Core Team, business units, System Integrator (SI) and Operations & Technology to capture & analyze business processes, workflows, policies, tables, objects, master data elements, programs, transactions etc. related to the current ECC solution.  
  • Translate Studios Group business and reporting needs into fit‑to‑standard SAP S/4 business process and master data designs through active participation in workshops covering code block design, business process analysis, process re‑engineering, global templates, and value chain analysis.  
  • Build Studio Group stakeholder consensus ensuring understanding of, and agreement to S/4 core design principles and champion the solution being proposed.   
  • Drive and complete data validation and reconciliation deliverables across legacy ECC and SAP S/4 environments, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity of master and transactional data throughout the transformation lifecycle.  
  • Serve as a change agent to SAP S/4 transformation and assist business unit Finance teams with change management.   

Transformation Strategy & Leadership 

  • Collaborate with Finance executives and business leaders to identify, prioritize, and deliver transformational opportunities across the Studio Group. 
  • Serve as a thought leader emerging trends in finance transformation, digital finance, AI, automation, and analytics. 
  • Provide executive oversight for multiple concurrent transformation programs with significant business impact and cross-functional dependencies. 
  • Partner with Technology, PMO, and Finance leaders to manage project scope, timeline, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation. 
  • Spearhead experimentation, pilot programs, and innovation initiatives that support Studio Finance strategic objectives. 

Influence & Talent Development 

  • Lead and develop a team of transformation professionals, project leaders, and consultants. 
  • Act as a transformation ambassador, fostering enthusiasm, accountability, and alignment across stakeholders. 
  • Build trusted relationships with executives across Finance, Technology, and business organizations. 

Qualifications

Here you'll need:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant areas
  • 10+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting, ideally within media or entertainment 
  • Demonstrated understanding of SAP business processes (e.g., Accounts Payable, Record to Report, Order to Cash)  
  • Solid understanding of agile project management and a record of accomplishment of on time delivery 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across multiple business units with solution-driven and results-oriented mindset 
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, executive-ready insights 
  • Well-developed strategic thinking, financial acumen, and relationship-building capabilities 
  • Experience in organizational change management 
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills within functional and technical areas

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.  

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
