Job Title: Senior ELV Engineer Location: Qatar Department: Engineering / Projects Reports To: Project Manager / ELV Engineering Manager Job Purpose The Senior ELV Engineer will be responsible for managing the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations. The role requires strong technical expertise in multimedia, telecommunications, and ELV systems, as well as leadership skills to guide teams toward successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Design & Technical Review Develop, review, and approve ELV system designs, technical drawings, and specifications. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Provide technical solutions for complex ELV engineering challenges. Installation & Commissioning Supervise the installation, configuration, and testing of ELV systems including CCTV, access control, BMS, fire alarm, public address, and multimedia systems. Coordinate with contractors and vendors for equipment delivery, installation, and commissioning activities. Ensure timely completion of works within budget and quality parameters. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Lead the maintenance and repair of ELV and multimedia systems. Troubleshoot and rectify faults, including required programming adjustments. Optimize system performance and ensure minimal downtime. Project Coordination Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow. Provide guidance and technical support to junior engineers and technicians. Ensure adherence to project schedules and quality benchmarks. Quality & Compliance Ensure compliance with MME/UPDA licensing requirements and applicable regulations. Conduct inspections to verify adherence to design specifications and safety standards. Maintain documentation for approvals, inspections, and handovers. Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical, Telecommunication, or Computer Engineering. Licenses & Certifications: MME/UPDA License (Mandatory). Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar ELV engineering role. Technical Skills: Experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting multimedia and ELV systems. Strong knowledge of CCTV, fire alarm, access control, IPTV, public address, and integrated systems. Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
