Role Overview: We're looking for an experienced professional with a solid background in organic certification to take on a senior role within our inspection team. As a Senior Inspector, you'll bring both technical know-how and mentoring skills to the job — overseeing audits, helping raise quality standards across the division, and playing a key part in developing our Inspectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take overall responsibility for the planning, execution, and documentation of audits.
• Lead, supervise, and mentor Inspectors, serving as their direct superior within the Certification Division.
• Conduct and document witness inspections of Inspectors as part of competence evaluation, authorisation, and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Carry out lead audits of Inspectors at least once a year or as required, with findings documented and reported to the Division Head.
• Compose audit teams and ensure all team members meet the required competence and independence criteria in accordance with ISO 17065 and NPOP accreditation requirements.
• Ensure all participating personnel have signed the Confidentiality Agreement and relevant work instructions prior to the commencement of any evaluation.
• Obtain the relevant legal basis, including applicable laws, executive orders, and industry schemes, before completing any evaluation.
• Fill out and manage non-conformity reports.
• Arrange all measures related to certification with the applicant.
• Engage in professional collaboration with Inspectors and scheme owners and participate as a member of the evaluation team.
• Ensure all inspection activities are conducted in accordance with FCID's impartiality, confidentiality, and independence requirements.
• Undertake any other related tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

• Relevant university degree or a comparable qualification in Agriculture, Horticulture, Aquaculture, Apiculture, or Animal Husbandry.
• Minimum of two years of experience in auditing, certification, agriculture, food processing, or a related field.
• Relevant training on organic standards and knowledge of quality management systems.
• Familiarity with ISO 17065 and NPOP accreditation requirements.
• HACCP or Food and Feed Safety training is preferable.
• ISO auditor qualification is preferable.
• Qualified for USDA-NOP, Organic EU, Naturland, Biosuisse
• Successful completion of FCID's internal training programme prior to authorisation.
