Sr Planning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer with strong expertise in high-rise residential, commercial, and mixed-use building construction projects in the UAE. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, resource coordination, delay analysis, and reporting to ensure timely completion of projects within budget and quality standards. The ideal candidate should possess excellent knowledge of Primavera P6, project controls, construction sequencing, and UAE construction practices. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Scheduling Prepare detailed baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 Develop master schedules, look-ahead schedules, recovery plans, and target programs Monitor construction progress against approved schedules Prepare and update weekly/monthly progress reports Identify critical activities and project risks Project Monitoring & Controls Track project performance, productivity, and manpower utilization Conduct delay analysis and recommend corrective actions Monitor procurement, engineering, and construction activities Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors Ensure alignment between project execution and planned timelines Coordination & Reporting Participate in progress review meetings with clients and consultants Prepare dashboards, S-curves, histograms, and KPI reports Assist in claims preparation and extension of time (EOT) documentation Coordinate with QA/QC, procurement, MEP, and execution teams Technical & Construction Coordination Understand construction sequencing for: Excavation & shoring Raft foundations Concrete frame structures Structural works MEP coordination Façade works Finishing & fit-out activities Ensure compliance with UAE construction standards and project milestones Requirements Experience Minimum 5–10 years experience in construction planning Mandatory experience in high-rise building projects in UAE Experience with main contractors preferred Technical Skills Strong command of: Primavera P6 MS Project AutoCAD Excel Reporting Knowledge of: Project controls Earned Value Management (EVM) Resource loading Cost monitoring Delay analysis Preferred Experience Residential towers Commercial high-rise buildings Mixed-use developments Luxury Tower & Villa projects Multi-storey construction
