Amazon LEO is expanding global broadband access through a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites. You will be part of a team that works on cutting edge silicon engineered to operate in the harsh environment of space. As a Senior Post Silicon Engineer, you will be a critical member of a high-performance team responsible for bringing up, validating, and characterizing cutting-edge MODEM SOC. You will drive functional validation and characterization of high-speed interfaces and ensure successful integration of the MODEM SOC in Amazon LEO products.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead comprehensive validation and characterization planning for MODEM SOC and high-speed peripherals (LPDDR4, SerDes)
• Design and develop SOC test platforms with robust architectural integrity
• Develop and maintain advanced test automation and comprehensive testbenches for high-speed interfaces and peripheral (I3C, QSPI, Ethernet)
• Conduct system-level debugs in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Design, DV, Architecture, Manufacturing)
• Work with FPGA, Emulators and DV Environment to ensure successful Bring Up.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 8+ years of work experience in Bring Up, Validation and characterization of SOC or ASIC
- Proficient in characterizing PLL performance through metrics like jitter, phase noise
- Familiarity with protocols such as I2C, SPI, I3C and eMMC
- Experience using Bench top instruments such as Power Supply, DMM, High Speed Oscilloscope, Signal generator, Spectrum Analyzer, BERT, RF Switches and DAQs
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as Python and Embedded C
- Expertise with JTAG-based debugging tools (e.g., Lauterbach)
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ Years of experience Validating and Characterizing High speed peripherals – LPDDR4 (or Equivalent) and SerDes
- Knowledge of Power Analysis and Characterization, Signal-Integrity and Power-Integrity
- Experience using FPGA or Emulator for Pre-Silicon Validation and Bring-Up Prep.
- Working knowledge of a MODEM is a plus
- High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive; resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
