A Day in the Life

As a Senior Software Quality Engineer, you will provide Design Assurance leadership for software-enabled medical device products across new product development and sustaining initiatives. You will partner with cross-functional teams from concept through commercialization to ensure product quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance are built into every stage of the product lifecycle. This role combines technical quality expertise with hands-on collaboration, including investigation leadership, risk-based decision making, and participation in internal and external audits. You will represent the Caesarea site in cross-site quality activities and help drive robust design controls, verification and validation strategies, and continuous quality improvement efforts.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Serving in a Design Assurance role for new product development, from concept through launch, as well as sustaining projects
  • Leading and supporting product investigations from both technical and process perspectives
  • Reviewing and approving test processes, plans, protocols, and reports to ensure alignment with user needs and requirements
  • Representing the Caesarea site in cross-site Design Assurance activities and during internal and external audits
  • Supporting quality and compliance activities throughout the product lifecycle

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or another engineering discipline with a software orientation
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Software Quality Engineer or as a SW Design Control/Design Assurance Engineer
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the medical device industry
  • Proven technical ability to lead and participate in technical root-cause analysis investigations
  • Strong technical skills related to product quality, including translation of voice of customer (VOC) inputs into design specifications, design characterization, verification and validation, test method validation, process validation, and inspection techniques and statistics
  • Familiarity with CAPA investigations, procedures and process changes, Risk Management, and CCBs/change management
  • Fluency in English and Hebrew, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
