Sr. Transportation Analyst

What will you do?
Analyze transportation options to meet service level requirements while optimizing transportation flows at the lowest possible cost.
Plan, schedule, and ensure the timely delivery of company freight using Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
Manage load tendering, monitor planned shipments, and maintain ownership of assigned loads throughout the transportation process.
Provide logistics support by effectively communicating shipment details among plants, business units, suppliers, customers, and carriers to ensure cost-effective, on-time deliveries across all transportation modes.
Identify transportation optimization opportunities and develop the most cost-effective transportation solutions.
Maintain and support standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and logistics-related documentation.
Collaborate closely with third-party transportation service providers to ensure efficient service execution.
Support the supplier onboarding process to optimize inbound freight to JCI plants, distribution centers, and drop shipment locations.
Partner with the Logistics Procurement team to conduct transportation research and cost modeling in support of carrier rate negotiations.
Work closely with the Planning Department to schedule shipments and deliveries.
Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments for assigned operations.
Manage transportation activities for suppliers located in Mexico and the United States.
Perform other duties as assigned, including transportation compliance audits, KPI reporting, and project support.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), preferably Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
Experience in the freight industry, including Truckload (TL), Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), and parcel transportation.
Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective action plans.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
