What will you do?

  • Analyze transportation options to meet service level requirements while optimizing transportation flows at the lowest possible cost. 

  • Plan, schedule, and ensure the timely delivery of company freight using Oracle Transportation Management (OTM). 

  • Manage load tendering, monitor planned shipments, and maintain ownership of assigned loads throughout the transportation process. 

  • Provide logistics support by effectively communicating shipment details among plants, business units, suppliers, customers, and carriers to ensure cost-effective, on-time deliveries across all transportation modes. 

  • Identify transportation optimization opportunities and develop the most cost-effective transportation solutions. 

  • Maintain and support standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and logistics-related documentation. 

  • Collaborate closely with third-party transportation service providers to ensure efficient service execution. 

  • Support the supplier onboarding process to optimize inbound freight to JCI plants, distribution centers, and drop shipment locations. 

  • Partner with the Logistics Procurement team to conduct transportation research and cost modeling in support of carrier rate negotiations. 

  • Work closely with the Planning Department to schedule shipments and deliveries. 

  • Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments for assigned operations. 

  • Manage transportation activities for suppliers located in Mexico and the United States. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned, including transportation compliance audits, KPI reporting, and project support. 

 

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Logistics, or a related field preferred. 

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations. 

  • Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), preferably Oracle Transportation Management (OTM). 

  • Experience in the freight industry, including Truckload (TL), Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), and parcel transportation. 

  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective action plans. 

  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
