About the Position
The Staff Accountant plays a key role on PDI's General Ledger Accounting team, helping keep our financial reporting accurate, timely, and built on a solid foundation. This is a hands-on opportunity to sharpen your accounting fundamentals in a fast-growing, family-owned company — working alongside experienced senior accountants who are invested in your development, and gaining exposure to the kind of complex, project-based accounting work that comes with being a major player in construction and design.
Position Responsibilities
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to verify information is complete and accurate.
- Identify discrepancies in accounts and research them to resolution.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards, and recommend changes or entries when necessary.
- Support month-end close processes
- Take on special projects as needed, with exposure to PDI's broader finance initiatives.
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- At least 1 year of related work experience with accounting responsibilities required.
- Working knowledge of general accounting procedures and principles.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
