The Role

Proofpoint is hiring a Staff Full Stack Engineer on Satori, our enterprise AI agent platform driving the future of autonomous security operations. Satori delivers security outcomes by orchestrating capabilities across the entire Proofpoint product portfolio and external partners.

In this high-ownership role, you will build Mission Control — the interfaces and APIs our Fortune 500 customers use to deploy, monitor, and control AI security agents.

Responsibilities

You will set the technical direction for Mission Control's UI across the full stack: React front end, the APIs behind it, and the automation that deploys and tests your work. You will be the integrator across product, design, and backend — bringing Figma designs to life, surfacing gaps early, and proactively unblocking others. You will build the experience that turns powerful agents into a product customers trust at enterprise scale: transparent, controllable, and dependable 24/7/365.

The environment is fast-paced, rapidly scaling, and highly collaborative across multiple engineering and product teams. The opportunity for transformational impact is significant. If this excites you, we want you on our team.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Able to work on-site four days per week at our Belfast office

  • Extensive meaningful hands-on engineering experience developing large scale systems using JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar.

  • Direct hands-on experience with and deep knowledge of React and TypeScript, plus one or more UI back-ends (Rails, Swing, Node, etc.).

  • Micro-frontend (MFE) experience, or a desire to ramp into it quickly.

  • Cloud-native development, automating deployments, familiarity with container systems; AWS experience a plus.

  • A keen eye for design and user experience.

  • A keen eye for contracts: read an API spec, find the gaps, and raise them early.

  • Awareness of front-end security, web standards, and accessibility.

  • Diligent debugging skills.

  • Excellent time management skills, and comfort coordinating work with colleagues in the US and around the globe.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, including managing stakeholders and mentoring other engineers.

  • A proactive "get it done" attitude and willingness to move forward through uncertainty.

  • Readiness to participate in on-call rotation at times coordinated with US-based colleagues.

  • Interest in agent-generated UI (e.g. A2UI, json-render) — how interfaces should render, adapt, and stay on-brand as agents begin producing them.

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Beneficial Experience

  • Experience with AI-driven development (e.g. Claude Code, Codex) and agentic communication protocols (e.g. A2A, MCP) preferred.

  • Large scale event processing a plus but not required.
