We’re looking for a Delivery Station Manager to join our Amazon Logistics team in Natal - RN. You’ll be based at one of our fast-paced Delivery Stations, which are central to Amazon’s rapidly expanding Operations and Logistics network, where we sort and process parcels.
As a Delivery Station Manager, you’ll provide inspiring leadership to the teams you manage. You’ll lead by example, rolling up your sleeves and getting involved whenever necessary. You’ll be responsible for developing a team of Shift Managers and their direct reports, while reporting to the Senior Operations Manager.
Your leadership quality will be crucial to success in this role. You will motivate and inspire your teams to achieve their best, while balancing their needs with business objectives when planning schedules and activities.
In addition, you’ll lead several process improvement projects aimed at streamlining operations for both you and your team members. The ideas, innovation, and out-of-the-box thinking you bring to the table could potentially be implemented across the entire Amazon network, offering you an incredible opportunity to make an impact.
Key job responsibilities
- Ensuring Health and Safety standards are maintained within your area of responsibility, while promoting and fostering a safety-driven culture on-site
- Gaining proficiency in specific, large-scale processes and activities within Delivery Stations, such as 5S audits
- Managing inventory control and systems, handling meaningful data collection, and updating operational metrics on an hourly basis
- Aiming to meet productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and ensure an excellent customer experience
- Collaborating closely with other support teams (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and Security, IT) on staffing plans, schedules, and performance management
- Leading progressive process changes and contributing to cross-functional Six Sigma initiatives within your site and the broader Amazon Logistics network in Brazil
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in operational logistics/supply chain, manufacturing, transportation, general management or an engineering role
- Experience using data to drive root cause analysis for making business decisions with Excel or other analytical tools
- Experience in Excel with advanced proficiency (pivots, lookups, etc.)
- Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Experience in communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal in Portuguese & English
- Experience in people management
- Experience hiring and developing highly effective and diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or above in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean methodology techniques
- Experience with project management
