Job Summary
Oversees and coordinates all field activities related to the construction, repair, and maintenance of structures and bridges for Primoris Heavy Civil projects in Louisiana, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Job Responsibilities:
* Supervise, direct, and schedule a crew of craft workers and subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project plans and specifications.
* Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
* Monitor and enforce strict safety regulations and protocols on job sites, conducting daily safety briefings and identifying potential hazards.
* Manage equipment, materials, and resources effectively to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
* Communicate regularly with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing progress updates and addressing any issues or concerns.
* Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets company standards and project requirements.
* Train and mentor crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and other necessary documentation.
* Participate in planning and scheduling meetings, contributing to project strategy and execution.
Job Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction with a focus on structures and bridges, including at least 2 years in a foreman role.
* Demonstrated knowledge of bridge construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
* Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and practices (OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred).
* Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
* Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
* Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as required.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* High school diploma or equivalent; further education or trade certifications a plus.
