Supervisor, Facility

The Safety Specialist is responsible for supporting various safety measures that follow company protocol, as well as state and federal laws.

General Responsibilities
• Ensures compliance with standard operating procedures, regulatory safety in compliance with national and international regulations and regional regulations for the reporting of adverse events to regulatory agencies
• Acts as a liaison internally and with external collaborators to develop programs
• Leads the development and preparation of reports for company management as well as external regulatory agencies
• Prepares new product application safety updates, investigational new product safety reports, investigator communications, product labeling/package inserts and other reports as necessary
• Leads with the maintenance of records on lost time accidents and prepares appropriate reports
• Implements hazardous waste control and disposal activities including training, collection, disposal, and records maintenance, as well as conservation programs within the organization

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
