Job Description:

The Food & Beverage (F&B) Operations Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for all food and beverage reservations and inquiries, managing incoming calls and emails and coordinating communications across outlets. Supports event and dining operations by handling small group reservations, preparing contracts and menus, and liaising with F&B management and the culinary team. Provides administrative and operational support including meeting participation, minute-taking, amenities coordination, payment processing, and payroll administration for culinary and F&B teams. Maintains timely guest relations through review responses and assists with restaurant opening supervision as needed to support management coverage.

The F&B Operations Supervisor must harmonize the culture, mission, values, and quality standards to ensure maximum potential is achieved.  This person must create an exceptional climate of professional and personable service that ensures the long-term engagement of employees, guests, and owners. The F&B Operations Supervisor must project Hard Rock’s high standards of service and professional hospitality at all times to ensure guests are provided with an authentic experience that rocks.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise daily food and beverage operations across outlets to ensure seamless service delivery and adherence to Hard Rock brand standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and support front-of-house team members; assist with scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences by actively engaging on the floor, resolving guest concerns promptly, and maintaining service excellence.
  • Enforce all health, safety, sanitation, and NYC Department of Health regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor service flow, table turns, reservations, and staff coverage to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Support inventory control, opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Collaborate closely with culinary leadership to ensure menu execution, food quality, presentation, and timing meet brand expectations.
  • Assist management with payroll accuracy, labor cost control, and operational reporting as needed.
  • Participate in pre-shifts, departmental meetings, and trainings; communicate key updates to staff clearly and consistently.
  • Uphold Hard Rock’s culture of energy, music, and entertainment by creating a vibrant atmosphere that reflects the brand’s identity.
  • Work closely with the audio/visual team to ensure client needs and expectations are met.
  • Support Food & Beverage Managers in ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Ensure all staff have food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service certifications required by law. 
  • Provide support in the execution of business plans to ensure the maximization of department performance. 
  • Support senior leadership in analyzing and identifying financial opportunities including cost controls, productivity levels, and revenue generation.
  • Balance staffing levels and labor to achieve ideal employee/guest engagement and cost ratio.
  • Promote a positive work environment for all employees and ensure all employment related processes and documentation are in compliance.
  • Resolve guest complaints and implement changes to prevent future issues.
  • Maintain presence in property during peak business periods.
  • Maintain effective relationships with guests.
  • Present a professional image to employees, guests, clients, owners, and investors.

WHAT YOU WILL ROCK 

To thrive here, you bring at least two years of prior service experience, ideally within a four or five star hotel environment, along with the ability to communicate clearly, stay patient under pressure, and approach every situation with tact and professionalism. You’re comfortable reading instructions, performing basic math, and speaking confidently with guests. If you speak additional languages beyond English, even better. You understand the rhythm of lifestyle hotels and premium dining, and you’re ready to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when the property is at its most vibrant. 

This role is active and hands-on. You’ll spend a good portion of your shift walking, carrying, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in environments that may be warm, cool, loud, or busy. Manual dexterity and strong hand eye coordination will help you manage trays, utensils, and service items with ease. Through all of it, you carry yourself with a professional appearance and a positive attitude, staying mindful of confidentiality and respectful communication at all times.

$48,800 - $65,000/
