About this role

About Origin

Origin (previously 10xConstruction) is building general-purpose autonomous robots for US construction to tackle rising costs, safety risks, and labour shortages. Our modular, multi-trade platform combines purpose-built hardware with real-time site intelligence to navigate complex environments and execute tasks with precision. Trained in high-fidelity simulation and already deployed on live sites, our robots deliver faster execution, stronger project economics, and meaningful cost savings. Join India’s talent-dense robotics team, with colleagues from IITs, Stanford, UCLA, and other leading institutions.

About the role

As Supply Chain Planning Intern, you will help turn Origin’s build and deployment plans into accurate material requirements, purchase signals, and inventory visibility. You will work with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and deployment teams to keep bills of material clean, identify shortages early, and improve how we plan prototypes and production. This is a high-learning, hands-on internship for someone who enjoys structured analysis and real-world hardware operations.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain planning trackers for demand, builds, bills of material, purchase orders, inventory, and delivery schedules.

- Translate upcoming prototype, pilot, and production plans into material requirements and shortage reports.

- Reconcile part numbers, quantities, lead times, substitutes, and supplier commitments with engineering and procurement.

- Support cycle counts, inventory accuracy, ageing analysis, and material allocation across builds.

- Build simple dashboards for shortages, on-time delivery, inventory coverage, and plan changes.

- Follow up on open actions and prepare clear updates for daily and weekly operating reviews.

- Help document and improve planning, procurement, and material-control processes.

- Support supplier research and data cleanup when required.

Requirements

Required qualifications and skills

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, industrial engineering, analytics, commerce, or a related field.

- Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort working with structured data.

- High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and willingness to follow through on open items.

- Clear written and verbal communication and an ability to work across teams.

- Curiosity about hardware, manufacturing, robotics, and real-world operations.

- Availability for a full-time, in-office internship in Bengaluru.

Preferred experience

- Academic or project exposure to material requirements planning, inventory, procurement, production planning, or logistics.

- Familiarity with ERP systems, dashboards, SQL, or basic automation.

- Experience in a student engineering team, hardware startup, factory, or operations internship.
