Position Summary

The Supply Chain Strategy and Analytics Manager is a critical, strategic partner responsible for driving cross-functional alignment, enabling executive focus, and overseeing operational initiatives across a network of DCs. This individual will support the Sr Manager, Supply Chain Strategy and Analytics, alongside the VP(s) of Distribution Operations, leading key projects, preparing executive communications, analyzing business performance, and ensuring consistent execution of strategic priorities – particularly in areas like labor and outbound volume planning, performance reporting, and process improvement. They will use data insights to lead and influence strategic initiatives within DC Operations, driving results and establishing best practices along the way.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Support & Executive Enablement

  • Serve as a thought partner, helping to prioritize, synthesize, and act on key issues across the DC network.

  • Define methodologies, frameworks, and best practices within DC Operations to establish enterprise standards for performance and strategic decision-making.

  • Support the Sr. Manager and VPs with clear follow-up and accountability on decisions, metrics, and projects.

Labor & Outbound Volume Planning

  • Partner with DC leadership, planning, HR, and finance to coordinate labor and outbound volume planning models that support upcoming projects, productivity goals, and seasonal shifts.

  • Analyze trends in volume, throughput, and staffing across the network; surface gaps or risks with proactive mitigation strategies.

  • Lead implementation of standardized planning tools and best practices across sites to ensure network-wide consistency.

  • Establish enterprise standards for labor forecasting and management, define methodologies and best practices

Performance Monitoring & Network Analysis

  • Lead creation and development of dashboards and KPIs for DC performance, including safety, quality, service, and cost.

  • Explore data independently and perform root-cause analysis to understand and drive results across the Distribution network.

  • Prepare executive-level summaries and recommendations for DC performance results across multiple KPIs.

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and productivity improvements through data analysis and stakeholder feedback.

Project & Program Management

  • Support ad-hoc data and reporting requests from the SCLT

  • Drive alignment and accountability across DC leaders, ensuring execution of enterprise-level programs at the site level.

  • Track progress on key initiatives and facilitate resolution of roadblocks and cross-functional dependencies.

Team Enablement & Communications

  • Create clear and concise communication for both frontline and executive audiences, including presentations, talking points, and leadership messaging.

  • Serve as liaison to other corporate functions (e.g., HR, IT, Safety, Merchandising) to ensure DC operations are fully supported and integrated.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in distribution, operations management, or business strategy; experience working directly with senior executives strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record in labor planning, workforce analytics, or operational forecasting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with operational data and financial models.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Collaborative, adaptable, and emotionally intelligent; able to influence without authority and navigate ambiguity.

  • Experience with labor management systems (e.g., Manhattan, Kronos), warehouse management systems, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake) a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $132,600.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
