Talent & People Specialist

About this role

What will you be in charge of?

We are looking for someone who knows their way around talent acquisition and wants more than the next open role to fill. You'll run end-to-end hiring across all levels and departments, and get involved in onboarding and offboarding as a real part of the people journey—not a handover to someone else. We're a small team, not a corporate machine with rigid lanes, so HR topics here intertwine. You don't need years of seniority—you need a solid grasp of how sourcing and interviewing work day-to-day and the drive to grow into more.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the full hiring cycle for all open positions: intake briefing, job description, sourcing, screening, interviews, offer, and pre-boarding handover.
  • Build proactive candidate pipelines via LinkedIn, job boards, direct outreach, referrals, and partnerships.
  • Write compelling job postings and contribute to employer branding.
  • Conduct structured interviews and support hiring managers through debriefs; keep the process consistent and the candidate experience strong.
  • Track key hiring metrics and use data to improve how we attract talent.
  • Support and help shape our onboarding programme, with input on tailored tracks for office, warehouse/operations, and senior or specialist hires.
  • Conduct exit interviews for departing employees and help spot patterns to share with the People Manager.
  • Support the annual training needs analysis alongside the People Manager and department heads, helping keep the training calendar and vendor relationships on track.
  • Contribute ideas to L&D priorities and the annual learning budget.

.

And we expect you to...

Have a background

  • 1–3 years in a talent acquisition or hiring role (agency or in-house) where you’ve independently owned candidate screening and structured interviews. Sourcing is second nature to you, and you know how to assess candidate fit without needing hand-holding during interview debriefs.
  • A genuine interest in talent selection as a craft, not just a job you fell into.
  • No prior onboarding or L&D experience required—we'll build that with you.
  • You know how hiring works day-to-day and want a role that expands your scope beyond it.
  • Speak fluent Slovak and English on a professional level - you will lead interviews in both languages

Language skills

  • Slovak - Advanced (C1)
  • English - Advanced (C1)

You will fit in with us because you...

  • Bring genuine energy to your work, care about people, and prefer bringing fresh ideas to the table over just ticking off daily tasks.
  • Are proactive by nature, whether that means catching a flaw in our onboarding, pitching a training idea, or reaching out to a great candidate.
  • Care about the whole picture and feel invested in a person's entire journey with us, from their first interview to their daily growth and eventual departure.
  • Enjoy variety and getting your hands dirty, especially when it comes to figuring out new ways to improve our processes and overall team experience.
  • Look at hiring trends and team feedback to spot problems early and continuously tweak how we do things for the better.
  • Communicate easily and write clear, engaging messages that build real connections with candidates, managers, and colleagues alike.
