Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Tax Analyst 2, Federal Tax Compliance to join our team in Franklin, TN.
A Day in the Life:
The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.
Assists with preparing and submitting federal tax returns and reports as required, including estimates and extensions.
Gathers and maintains documentation in support of tax laws and regulations.
Assists with the preparation of the year-end income tax provision and budgets/forecasts of projected federal income tax liability.
Conducts research of tax regulations, notices and IRS instructions to ensure proper compliance.
Prepares general ledger account analysis and reconciliations, including coordinating uploading financial data into tax software system.
Maintains tax software systems where applicable.
Supports tax department in all aspects of tax compliance (state income/franchise, information, and withholding reporting).
Who We’re Looking for:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree plus three or more years of directly related professional-level experience.
Requires an in-depth understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations and a basic understanding of general accounting and reporting.
Basic understanding of documents and data required to support tax inquiries, audits and other issues.
Must have strong organizational skills and the motivation to drive success.
Ability to work on-site in Franklin, TN.
Desired:
CPA and public accounting experience preferred.
Process improvement project management experience preferred.
Experience with OIT, OTP, SAP, and/or Tableau Prep is a plus.
Thorough knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office, with the ability to resolve complex day-to-day problems.
