Tax & Statutory Reporting Specialist

About this role

Main characteristic of the role:

The Tax & Statutory Reporting specialist is responsible for the preparation/submission of accurate and timely reporting of statutory financial statements, direct and indirect tax, and other regulatory reporting. If applicable, support in the external audit process.

Main accountabilities of the role:

  • Ensure that all (direct and indirect) tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Prepare or manage the preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with Local GAAP
  • Manage ongoing relationships with external consultants and advisors (for example, tax advisors).
  • If applicable, manage the external audit process to ensure a time and cost-efficient audit. 
  • Calculate current and deferred tax in accordance with Hyva's accounting policies (IFRS based).
  • Responsible for indirect tax, statistics information and other financial information to comply with local laws & regulations
  • Establish and maintain work instructions

Main KPIs of the role:

  • 'On-time reporting tax and regulatory information
  • Process improvements identified
  • Process improvements implemented
  • Professional fees and consultancy cost within budget

Requirements:

  • Educational Level: Secondary vocational education+
  • Professional Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in international transactions, cross border transactions (Import/Export, Intra-Community Supply of Goods/Intra-Community Acquisition of Goods, Revers Charge, etc.)
  • Experience in WHT and CIT issue
