Catch22 College is the collective name for 9 sites we have across the country delivering academic and vocational training programmes for young people aged 16+ who, for whatever reason, are not suited to a mainstream school setting. Our Peterlee site, like our all our other School sites, provides students with a highly supportive environment where they have access too opportunities to build up their confidence and self-belief, and to gain new skills and experiences that will help them to achieve their goals in life. We exist to help our students find their future.
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work as part of a small team delivering tailored learning programme to a small cohort of students. You will be supporting the delivery of Maths and English, vocational programmes as well as enrichment elements to help our students prepare for independence, and work experience. We expect every member of the team to work collaboratively and flexibly, but our Teaching Assistant will have specific accountabilities, which include:
1. Supporting our tutor to deliver amazing teaching to our students
2. Working alongside the wider team to build a culture of maturity, positivity and aspiration at the College site
3. Contributing to the overall success of the Catch22 College: Peterlee team

Qualifications:
Level 2 qualifications in English and maths, or a commitment to obtaining this qualification
A Teaching Assistant qualification at Level 2 or above, or a commitment to obtaining this qualification (desirable)
We are looking to appoint to this role as quickly as possible and will close this job off to new applicants when we have enough suitable candidates to interview. We, therefore, encourage candidates to apply as soon as possible.
Salary: £25,500 FTE. (£14,353.34 pro rata)
Contract: 29.6 hours per week (4 Days, Tuesday-Friday), Term Time only. 41 weeks per annum
