About this role

Team Leader | Disability Services, QCSS 

  • Employment Term: Permanent Full Time

  • Location: Annerley

  • Remuneration: $47.92 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our UnitingCare team  

  • Lead, coach, support and provide training to frontline staff to ensure high quality care  
    standards, practice frameworks and legislative requirements are met 

  • Support clients to participate and engage with evaluation, design and delivery of  
    support in line with our client engagement frameworks 

  • Ensure all requirements (submissions, plans, returns, reports, statistics) in relation to  
    meeting the goals of individual support plans support the optimisation of the  
    participants funding and submitted within required timeframes 

  • Ensure client care is assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated in accordance  
    with UnitingCare policy and procedures taking into considerations each client’s needs  

  • Ensure all requirements (submissions, plans, returns, reports, statistics) in relation to  
    meeting the goals of individual support plans support the optimisation of the  
    participants funding 

  • Report risks, poor practice and noncompliance with UnitingCare policy and  
    procedure and legislation 

 

What makes a difference for us?   

  • Knowledge of legislation underpinning the provision of services within the disability sector and the key issues affecting quality of life for people with a disability 

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and licensing requirements associated  
    with the Disability sector 

  • Demonstrated experience with internal and external reporting matrix’s and case management experience will be beneficial 

  • Demonstrated experience in appropriately managing emergency or crisis situations 

  • Sound understanding of the application of the principles of family or self-governance, personal autonomy, choice and control and intentional safeguarding for our clients 

  • Demonstrated ability to provide advice, support, coaching, mentoring and training to managers  
    and staff  

  • Experience in delivering on individualised plans  

  • A current Positive Notice from Disability Services, willingness to undergo a “Working with Children Check” and a Suitability Card (Blue Card) prior to commencing employment. 

  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificates
