As Team Leader – First Response, Homelessness, you'll lead a dedicated team delivering critical frontline support to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, helping them access safety, stability and hope for the future.

About Us
The Salvation Army is one of Australia's largest providers of homelessness services. Every year, we support thousands of individuals and families through accommodation, case management, outreach, tenancy support, financial assistance and community connections.
What you'll be doing
As Team Leader, you will:
- Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing team of Case Managers.
- Drive high-quality, trauma-informed service delivery aligned with national and state homelessness strategies.
- Provide leadership and guidance on complex and high-risk cases.
- Monitor service performance, outcomes and quality standards.
- Allocate caseloads to maximise team effectiveness and positive client outcomes.
- Foster a culture of reflective practice, learning and continuous improvement.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, supervision and professional development.
- Maintain strong risk management, compliance and reporting practices.
- Build collaborative partnerships with housing providers and community organisations.
- Support residential operations, referrals and vacancy management.
What you'll bring
We're looking for a compassionate leader who can motivate others while keeping people at the centre of everything they do.
You'll have:
- A qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Community Development or a related discipline (or equivalent sector experience).
- Demonstrated leadership experience within homelessness, community services or the social services sector.
- Experience supervising, mentoring and developing staff.
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
- A current Queensland Driver Licence.
- A valid Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
