Job Purpose:
To manage and lead overall production operations to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity and People targets, while ensuring efficient utilization of manpower, materials, equipment and production capacity in compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.
(Main Responsibilities):
1. Production Management
• Manage daily production operations to ensure production plans are achieved safely, efficiently and on time.
• Establish production targets, priorities and performance KPIs.
• Monitor production performance and take timely corrective actions when targets are not achieved.
• Ensure effective production planning, scheduling and manpower allocation.
2. Productivity & Operational Excellence
• Improve production efficiency, productivity, line balancing and capacity utilization.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
• Reduce production losses, downtime, material waste and production cycle time.
• Optimize manpower utilization and production processes.
3. Safety
• Ensure all production activities are conducted safely and in compliance with company SHE
• Promote safety awareness and safe working behavior among production employees.
• Investigate production-related incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
4. Quality
• Ensure products are manufactured according to approved specifications and quality standards.
• Work closely with QA to reduce defects, deviations, rework and customer complaints.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, quality procedures and applicable standards where relevant.
5. Cost Management
• Control production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Monitor material consumption, labor utilization, utilities and production losses.
• Support CAPEX and improvement projects that increase productivity and reduce operating costs.
6. Equipment & Maintenance
• Coordinate with Engineering to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
• Support preventive maintenance and minimize production downtime.
• Identify equipment improvement opportunities to improve productivity and process capability.
7. People Management
• Lead, coach and develop Production Supervisors, Leaders and operators.
• Ensure appropriate manpower planning and skill allocation.
• Establish clear performance expectations and develop employee competencies.
• Promote accountability, teamwork and a continuous improvement culture.
8. Performance Management & Reporting
• Monitor and analyze production KPIs such as: Production output, OEE, Yield, Downtime, Cycle
• Conduct daily/weekly production performance reviews and implement improvement actions.
9. Compliance & Standardization
• Ensure production activities comply with SOPs, work instructions, company policies and applicable legal requirements.
• Maintain standardized production processes and ensure effective implementation on the shop floor.
System Quality:
• Comply with all relevant quality management systems and standards, including BRC-CP,
ISO 9001, GMP Cosmetics, GMP Hazardous, HALAL, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and SMETA. impacts and ensure compliance with applicable environmental requirements.
Job Specifications: Responsible for the overall production operations, production performance, manpower utilization, productivity, production cost, quality and delivery performance.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,
Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is an advantage.
