About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Technical Lead to drive the architecture, engineering standards, and delivery of complex SaaS and IT services solutions. You will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and the development team — providing technical vision, hands-on mentorship, and reliable delivery across the full Microsoft stack.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Own end-to-end technical delivery across all project phases, from design to production.
- Define and enforce coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices across the team.
- Lead solution design and architecture reviews for cloud-native and enterprise applications.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks aligned with business goals.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 5 or more developers.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and drive engineering excellence.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, internal tech talks, and upskilling initiatives.
- Partner with engineering managers on resource planning and team structure.
Agile & Delivery
- Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies — sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and demos.
- Own sprint velocity, technical debt management, and release quality.
- Work with Product Owners to refine backlogs, estimate effort, and prioritize features.
DevOps & CI/CD
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or equivalent tooling.
- Champion DevOps culture — automation, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and observability.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of deployed services.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for non-technical audiences.
- Proactively surface risks, blockers, and mitigation strategies to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Minimum 4 projects delivered in a formal Tech Lead capacity.
- Demonstrated experience leading development teams of 5 or more engineers.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure — App Services, Functions, AKS, API Management, Service Bus, Key Vault, etc.
- .NET / .NET Core — RESTful APIs, microservices, background services, and enterprise integrations.
- Frontend proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, React.js or similar modern frameworks.
- Proven track record with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Hands-on experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder communication skills.
AI & Emerging Technologies
The ideal candidate demonstrates fluency in applied AI within enterprise contexts:
- Experience integrating Azure AI / Cognitive Services, OpenAI APIs, or Azure OpenAI Service into products.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tooling (GitHub Copilot, etc.) and responsible AI practices.
- Understanding prompt engineering, and LLM-based feature development is a strong plus.
Nice to Have
- Microsoft certifications (AZ-204, AZ-305, AZ-400 or equivalent).
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerised workloads (Docker).
- Exposure to event-driven architectures — Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Kafka.
- Background in FinTech, Healthcare, or enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates).
