The role is responsible for driving end-to-end technology delivery and project management within the Transformation Programme. The individual will work closely with the FFP Performance Management workstream, MI Product Owner, Solution Architect, Delivery Leads, business stakeholders and engineering teams to plan, coordinate and deliver technology solutions for the Finance function and long-term technology delivery roadmap. The role will provide technical expertise, delivery governance and hands-on guidance to the team, ensuring that project milestones, risks, dependencies, quality standards and implementation outcomes are effectively managed. The individual will be expected to understand Insurance Finance and Actuarial business requirements, translate them into executable delivery plans, and guide the team in implementing scalable, secure and sustainable data and reporting solutions aligned to architecture standards and business outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, execution and delivery management for technology initiatives within the Performance Management workstream.
  • Work closely with the MI Tech Product Owner, Solution Architect, business stakeholders, Delivery Leads and engineering teams to align scope, priorities, milestones and delivery outcomes.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into clear delivery plans, sprint priorities, work packages and implementation activities for the team.
  • Provide technical guidance to the delivery team across data engineering, integration, reporting, cloud platform delivery, DevOps and operational readiness.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, resource coordination and delivery reporting, ensuring timely escalation and resolution where required.
  • Oversee solution validation, testing coordination, implementation readiness and post-delivery support to ensure solutions meet business needs, architecture standards and SLAs.

Qualifications

  • Experience Level: Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience with proven track record in technology project delivery, technical team guidance and stakeholder management, preferably within Finance and insurance domains.
  • Education Level: Bachelor’s degree (2:1 honor or higher) or equivalent level.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong delivery leadership, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, effective communication, problem-solving ability and ability to guide teams through complex delivery challenges.
  • Specific Skills: Expertise in technology delivery management, data platform implementation, project governance, technical coordination and delivery assurance.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in project management, Agile delivery, cloud platforms, data engineering or related domains.

Mandatory skills

  • Strong technology delivery project management experience, including planning, execution tracking, dependency management, risk management and stakeholder reporting.
  • Technical knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, data engineering, data integration and reporting solutions, preferably across MS Azure, Databricks and Power BI.
  • Experience guiding delivery teams on DevOps, CI/CD practices, testing, release management, operational readiness and implementation governance.
  • Ability to provide technical oversight, challenge delivery risks, unblock issues and ensure alignment between architecture intent and implementation outcomes.
  • Awareness of Insurance Finance and Actuarial data requirements, including data controls, reconciliation, reporting accuracy and business adoption considerations.

Preferred skills

  • Accreditation in MS Azure, Databricks, Power BI or equivalent data and cloud technology platforms.
  • Project Management, Agile, Scrum Master or equivalent delivery management qualification.
