Education – Diploma/ B. Tech in Metallurgy

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve customer quality complaints related to scrap processing and metallurgy.
  • Analyze customer feedback and identify quality improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Conduct scrap trials at customer end and provide solutions.
  • Provide metallurgical expertise and process improvement recommendations to processing units.
  • Support customers in scrap selection, segregation, processing, and application based on technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with operations and production teams to ensure processed scrap meets customer specifications.
  • Visit customer plants and processing facilities to provide technical support and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Prepare technical reports, complaint investigation reports, and quality improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, metallurgical best practices, and customer specifications.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve process performance.

What Your Day Actually Looks Like:

This role is responsible for investigating and resolving customer quality complaints related to scrap and processed materials, while providing metallurgical and technical support to both customers and internal processing teams. It involves conducting root cause analysis (RCA), driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and recommending process improvements to enhance product quality, consistency, and yield. The position requires regular visits to customer foundries and processing facilities to address technical issues, close collaboration with Operations, Quality, Procurement, and Sales teams, monitoring quality performance through data analysis, preparing technical reports, and ensuring processed materials consistently meet customer specifications.
