Technical Warehouse Assistant / Driver
About this role
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on and safety-conscious Technical Warehouse Assistant / Driver to join our Operations team in the Western Cape. This role is primarily responsible for the safe transportation of company stock, equipment and assets between operational sites, suppliers and field teams. When not performing driving duties, the successful candidate will support the Technical Warehouse by preparing, testing, issuing, receiving and maintaining wireless equipment and inventory to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport company stock, equipment and assets between ikeja sites, suppliers and field teams.
- Load and offload stock while ensuring the safe handling and security of all equipment.
- Complete deliveries and collections accurately and on time.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure company vehicles remain clean, roadworthy and compliant.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, proof of delivery and vehicle records.
- Receive, issue, pick, pack and distribute warehouse stock.
- Prepare, configure, clean, test and label wireless equipment for deployment.
- Process returned equipment and accurately record inventory movements.
- Maintain accurate stock records across warehouse systems and documentation.
- Assist with stock counts, inventory control and warehouse housekeeping.
- Report stock discrepancies, damaged equipment and operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, warehouse procedures and safety standards.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid South African driver's licence (Code B or higher).
- Minimum 1 year's driving experience with a valid driver's licence.
- Proven experience, confident, competent and skilled driver who is comfortable driving manual vehicles.
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a warehouse, logistics, stores, inventory, or technical support environment.
- Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems will be advantageous.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move stock and equipment.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends and travel between operational sites when required.
