Time Controller

We are hiring an experienced Time Controller for an automobile workshop / authorized dealership environment. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring workshop floor activities, tracking job progress, controlling repair timelines, monitoring technician productivity, and supporting smooth workflow between service advisors, technicians, workshop supervisors, and service management. The ideal candidate should have strong automotive technical knowledge, hands-on experience in workshop floor handling, and good understanding of workshop KPIs, productivity monitoring, repair timelines, and vehicle delivery processes. Key Responsibilities: Monitor day-to-day workshop floor activities and ensure smooth workflow across all repair and service jobs. Track job progress, repair timelines, technician productivity, and workshop efficiency. Allocate, follow up, and monitor jobs in coordination with workshop supervisors, foremen, technicians, and service advisors. Ensure vehicles are attended to, repaired, inspected, and delivered within committed timelines. Monitor technician time utilization, productivity, efficiency, idle time, and job completion status. Support achievement of workshop KPIs, productivity targets, turnaround time, and operational performance goals. Coordinate with service and workshop teams to avoid delays in job completion and vehicle delivery. Follow up on pending jobs, spare parts delays, additional approvals, repeat repairs, and job card status. Maintain accurate records of technician productivity, job progress, repair time, workshop loading, and vehicle status. Support process improvements to increase workshop efficiency and reduce vehicle downtime. Ensure proper communication between service advisors, workshop supervisors, technicians, parts department, and management. Assist in preparing reports related to workshop productivity, daily job status, technician performance, and operational KPIs. Ensure workshop processes are followed as per authorized dealership standards and company procedures. Requirements Candidate Requirements: ITI / Diploma qualification in Automobile, Mechanical, or related technical field. Minimum 3–4 years of experience in workshop floor handling, time control, or similar workshop coordination role. Experience in an Authorized Dealership is mandatory. Strong knowledge of automobile workshop operations, repair workflow, job cards, technician productivity, and vehicle delivery process. Good understanding of workshop KPIs, performance monitoring, turnaround time, productivity, and efficiency tracking. Strong automotive technical knowledge related to vehicle service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. Ability to coordinate effectively with technicians, service advisors, workshop supervisors, and parts team. Good communication, coordination, follow-up, reporting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to use ERP systems, service management software, job card systems, and business communication tools.
