Trade Compliance Sr. Associate
At Amgen Breda medicines are labelled, assembled, stored and eventually shipped to various countries worldwide. Every day more than 1000 people from 38 different nationalities are working on supply chain processes, manufacturing, marketing, and sales of our medicines and clinical research into new medicines.

What you will do
As the Trade Compliance Sr. Associate, you will be responsible for the integration of policy and executional activities for imports and exports in support of the entire Amgen organization.
Your responsibilities will include:
Manage daily operational customs activities that support timely import and export operations, ensuring compliance with relevant customs regulations and Amgen standards.
Provide expertise and advise on international Customs and Other Government Agency (OGA) Import/Export requirements
Provide oversight and performance management of outsourced brokerage services
Collect and report on key transactional performance metrics
Review shipping documentation and customs invoices for accuracy including valuation, commodity classification, and country of origin
Provide support for acquiring applicable shipment permits and licenses
Review and resolve SAP-Global Trade Services (GTS) screening blocks
Respond to requests from both internal and external stakeholders.
Represent Global Trade at any Customs and/or Other Government Agency (OGA) Import audits or inspections.
Maintain records for imports/exports according to document retention timelines

What we expect of you
The professional we seek has the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Trade Compliance experience
Certification in EU Customs related procedures.
Understanding of International Customs and World Trade Organization Regulations.
Preferably relevant experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices or healthcare industry.
Additionally they would have the following key competencies:
Versed in key customs processes including valuation, commodity classification, country of origin determination.
Experience in EU customs procedures and other complex customs matters.
Ability to build working relationships and effectively partner cross-functionally/cross-regionally and at all levels in the organization.
Continuous improvement mindset and process improvement focus.
Ability to leverage relationships with industry peers for benchmarking and to share best practices.
Ability to effectively navigate through ambiguity to resolve issues.
Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation, collaboration, and executive presentation skills.
Knowledge and understanding of GMP regulations and GDP requirements.
Self-starter with the ability to take on several projects at one time.
Experience or education in international trade law.
Initiator with analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Experience with SAP/GTS or similar ERP systems
