Trade Marketing Activation Coordinator
About this role
The Trade Marketing Activation Coordinator will lead the planning and execution of high-impact trade marketing initiatives, ensuring strong brand presence, sales growth, and consumer engagement across Tanzania.
Key Responsibilities
TTL Campaign Planning & Execution
• Lead the design and rollout of TTL (Through-the-Line) campaigns across TV, radio, print, digital, OOH, and social media platforms.
• Negotiate, purchase, and optimize media buys to achieve maximum reach and ROI.
• Coordinate campaign timelines, budgets, and reporting with internal teams and agencies.
Trade Marketing & In-Market Activation
• Develop and implement trade marketing strategies to enhance product visibility in both
formal and informal trade markets.
• Manage large-scale activations and brand events in urban and regional markets beyond
Dar es Salaam.
• Work closely with retailers, distributors, and field teams to ensure effective execution.
• Ensure compliance with marketing guidelines.
• Understand player behaviour and ensure responsible marketing practices.
Performance and sales tracking
• Monitor and measure campaign effectiveness using sales data, dashboards, and
analytical tools.
• Adjust strategies based on performance insights to maximize ROI and sales conversion.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
• Oversee activation vendors, field teams, and suppliers to ensure quality and timely
delivery of marketing activities.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align campaigns with strategic business goals.
Market Knowledge
• Ensure campaigns are culturally relevant and resonate with diverse regional markets.
• Leverage insights into Tanzanian consumer habits and media consumption patterns.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in trade marketing, brand activation, or TTL
campaign management.
• Background in gaming, lottery, betting, FMCG, or other high-pressure, sales-driven
sectors preferred.
• Proficiency in campaign performance tracking and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
