In this position, you’ll apply your manual labor skills and operational know-how to install, inspect, and maintain essential traffic control signs, pavement markings, and work zone safety setups across the city. Whether you're operating specialized maintenance equipment, laying thermoplastic markings, or fabricating traffic control signs, your daily work will directly impact the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and fellow crew members.

Position overview
The Traffic Signs & Markings Technician performs skilled manual and technical maintenance and/or operational activities for the Traffic Signs & Markings workgroup.

The city of Aurora will implement furlough days (unpaid days off) for most employees in 2026. The scheduled furlough dates are January 16, April 10, July 2, and December 24.
