Transportation Data Coordinator

Location: Valley, Alabama
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Overview

The Transportation Data Coordinator supports daily transportation operations through accurate tracking, reporting, and analysis of equipment, drivers, loads, and deliveries. This role maintains transportation data, assists with operational planning and customer reporting, and helps management identify and resolve data or scheduling discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Track and maintain accurate records for transportation equipment, drivers, loads, and deliveries.
  • Monitor equipment status, location, and availability.
  • Review scheduled and completed loads and deliveries.
  • Maintain data for daily, weekly, and customer transportation reports.
  • Review driver attendance and availability and assist with daily driver planning.
  • Track company drivers, owner-operators, and third-party/brokered loads.
  • Identify and follow up on missing, incomplete, or inaccurate information.
  • Maintain organized spreadsheets, electronic records, and transportation reports.
  • Communicate operational updates and discrepancies to Transportation Management.
  • Research assigned transportation issues, identify potential solutions, and communicate findings.
  • Perform additional transportation reporting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including organizing, reviewing, and maintaining data.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong initiative and willingness to research information and resolve problems.
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential and business-sensitive information.

Preferred:

  • Experience in transportation, logistics, trucking, warehousing, or dispatch.
  • Experience with operational reporting or large amounts of data.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas, filtering, sorting, and data organization.
  • Experience tracking drivers, equipment, loads, or deliveries.
