About the role:

The Treasury Manager is responsible for overseeing treasury operations for our hedge fund and alternative investment clients, with a primary focus on collateral management, cash management, settlement oversight, and client service delivery. This role serves as a key point of contact for clients, counterparties, custodians, prime brokers, and internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate execution of treasury-related activities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage and approve cash movements, wire transfers, payment processing, and settlement activities while ensuring adherence to internal controls and client authorization procedures.

  • Coordinate with banking partners, custodians, prime brokers, and counterparties to support treasury operations and resolve cash and settlement issues.

  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, settlement exceptions, and operational discrepancies.

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for treasury-related client inquiries, operational issues, and service concerns.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hedge fund managers, operations teams, counterparties, and service providers.

  • Ensure treasury and collateral management processes remain compliant with regulatory requirements and client governing documentation.

  • Mentor and provide oversight to team members.

  • Review and approve team deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely execution.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • 7+ years of experience in treasury operations, collateral management, fund administration, prime brokerage, hedge fund operations, or a related financial services environment.

  • Strong knowledge of derivatives, repurchase agreements (Repo), securities financing transactions, and collateral management practices.

  • Experience working with legal documentation, including:

    • Credit Support Annexes (CSA)

    • Master Repurchase Agreements (MRA)

    • Master Securities Forward Transaction Agreements (MSFTA)

    • Clearing agreements and related account documentation

  • Demonstrated understanding of treasury management principles, including cash management, and settlement operations.

  • Experience interacting directly with hedge fund clients, counterparties, custodians, and senior stakeholders.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliation, reporting, and process automation capabilities.

  • Prior experience in a manager/leadership role

  • Self-motivated professional with strong leadership skills and a client-focused approach.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
