Role Overview
In this role, you will be part of the Everest Re Northern, Southern and Eastern Europe Team (Europe 2), which has a large geographical responsibility. You will be involved in the underwriting of different products across Property, Casualty and Motor lines of business with a focus on executing our strategy in these regions.
As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a vital role in driving the achievement of our objectives for profitability, growth, service excellence, and producer relations,
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Underwriting and pricing of Property, Casualty & Motor Treaty Reinsurance business in Northern, Southern and Eastern Europe.
Analysis of underwriting submission and reinsurance structures with the aim to develop solutions in collaboration with Underwriters, Brokers and Clients.
Developing and executing on a business plan together with the team.
Reviewing and administering existing and new contracts in line with the companies underwriting philosophy
Marketing of Everest Re in the respective countries including regular travel.
Assisting and planning of own work to help the company achieve its financial target and customer satisfaction.
Contributing to group projects in cross-functional and international teams.
Candidate Profile
Requirements:
Relevant University Degree or equivalent job experience.
Knowledge of the main classes of business in the region.
In-dept knowledge of short-tail classes of business will be an asset
Market knowledge and experience in the region would be a plus.
At least 5-7 years reinsurance background in claims, pricing and/or underwriting
Strong communicator and team player
Flexibility and open to change
Microsoft Office skills and the ability to understand and use in-house pricing tools
Proficiency in English and German. Other European languages a benefit.
Willingness to travel
