Position Description:

This Unit Specialist II will oversee operations of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. This includes providing support to the fellowship program, coordination between the clinical and research (Institute for Molecular Cardiology) sides of the division, and navigating UofL and clinical partner processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with department credentialing coordinator on initial credentialing for providers (physicians, NPs, clinical coordinators) and annual recredentialing, including adherence to strict Kentucky licensure deadlines.

  • Manage division purchasing activities and review monthly account reconciliations with department finance team.

  • Coordinate with the department faculty affairs team for faculty actions such as promotion and tenure review, reappointments, and gratis candidates.

  • Work with International Center, University and ULP legal counsel, and employee to obtain/renew visas for foreign national employees.

  • Work closely with division/department leadership team on special projects.

  • Participate with clinical partners on activities related to the practice including monitoring billing and provider schedules.

  • Oversee fellowship duties and fellowship program coordination.

  • Serve as primary point of contact for faculty and staff in the division, the Institute for Molecular Cardiology, and non-DOM units like the Cardiovascular Innovation Institute and Cardiothoracic Surgery.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Target Compensation Maximum:

$72,389.00

Target Compensation Minimum:

$48,225.00

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
